This is the old family Oatmeal Cookie Recipe that has been made for generations. And apparently my grandfather's great aunt won a recipe contest by Quaker Oatmeal with this recipe. The family was a bit mad for about a minute until they realized how convenient it was for the recipe to be on the oatmeal can. So it's not a secret recipe. My grandma gave me this recipe along with others when I was 3 years old. But that's not so strange. My great grandma gave me 3 aprons when I was born. She gave every baby born in the family an apron girl or boy. I have had success with theses cookies and thought you might like them. After all I don't have many living relatives on my side of the tree to share anything with.
